Application

Any fabric that will be designed to hold a lot of weight or force must undergo an intense bursting strength test before final processing. These types of fabrics are like tarps, pool covers, compactor curtains, truck covers, etc. This is to make sure the bursting strength of these fabrics meet the minimum requirement that will be needed to withstand any level of force and weight.

Digital bursting strength apparatus comes with a digital screen on which the operator will read pressure. It also comes with rubber diaphragms and peak hold facility. There is also an automatic clamping device, an LED lamp to make observation easier as well as a clear acrylic bell.

Three test methods which are Certain Pressure Bursting, Constant Speed Bursting and Certain Extension Bursting can be carried out on using the machine. The busting testing machine is also known as the Mullen Bursting Tester because the testing procedure it uses is called the Mullen Burst Test. During this testing procedure, a ring with a diameter of 1.22 inches is used to clamp the specimen. Then a rubber diaphragm is inflated against the specimen until it ruptures.
